My mother raised a black snake, treating it as preciously as her own eyes. When the black snake grew larger, my mother said it was an adult now and deserved a wife of its own. That same night, my mother placed the black snake into my sister’s bed. My sister looked at her with pleading eyes. My mother, however, claimed that serving the black snake was my sister's blessing and, without further ado, tied my sister to the bed.
